Lacie’s Blog

Hi! I want to personally thank Jess for having me on her blog as a guest blogger, my name is Lacie Redmond. When reading all of her posts, I thought to myself, wow it must be crazy living with two other girls, all while going to college and working! (..I only have to live with my mom and two cats) I would defiantly have learned a lot more life lessons! What I have learned from Jess’s Blog really goes along with my last post about change. What do you think?

Quote of the night: “Get 911 on Speed Dial!”

I was sitting in Amy ‘s room doing our nightly gossip while Leah was in the shower. I started telling my story and then…. I stopped in the middle of my sentence. Amy  quietly asked if I heard the same noise. Before I could answer her, we both heard the noise again it sounded like foot steps downstairs.  Without any hesitation, we locked her door then ran into her bathroom locking the door behind us. We ran into the shower room (where Leah was still showering). Amy was pulling the one door shut while I was pushing the other door shut. We started whispering to Leah (who was still in the shower freaking out) about what just happened. Amy handed Leah her towel then she got out of the shower to call her mom- since she was the only one who had their phone. Go figure the one in the shower is the only one that has a phone… She called her mom, who told us to

call 911.

Once we finally calmed down from laughing and freaking out at the same time, I decided to check the appartment. I told Leah,

“Get 911 on speed dial, incase I die. Then please call my mom.”

What would you grab in a girls bathroom to protect yourself???? I grabbed hairspray and a pocket knife, and Leah and Amy made fun of me. I figured I could do some serious damage with the mixture. After I went downstairs and no one was there we just laughed about the whole thing in the living room. Got to love living with girls…

Someone Call The Fire Department!

It all started one morning when Kim was sick. I am not going to tell you what was going on because I don’t want people throwing up near their computers, so I will leave it at that. Being the nice roommate that I try to be, I got out of the room as fast I could. Honestly, I don’t have a very strong stomach as it is and just knowing that she was sick I couldn’t even be in the room. I ran down stairs and decided to make my own breakfast because I was early for once. If anyone reading this knows me, they know that I am a pretty good cook, at least I thought so. I love making food from scratch. So I decided to make Eggs In A Basket, which my boyfriend tought me how to make. I put the butter in the skillet and turned on our gas stove (which I am not use to using by the way). Once I was done making my breakfast I grabbed the pan and ran cold water on it to cool it down.  But I did not knwo that the pot was still hot before I know it,

BEEP BEEP BEEP BEEP BEEP BEEP!

The fire alarm is going off!

Amy and Leah are running down the steps freaking out and Kim and I are trying to figure out how to get the firm alarm to turn off. It took me awhile to try to convince everyone that I am honestly a good cook. I guess thats a Life Lesson Learned.
